RESUMO
El manejo ortopédico del Hallux Valgus hace parte importante del tratamiento de ésta patología, es la alternativa inicial de manejo como el cambio de calzado, uso de ortesis, terapia fisica y medidas locales en los pies. El tratamiento ortopedico debe proveer al paciente de un alivio en su dolor y evitar el aumento de la deformidad. Este manejo conservador comienza con una adecuada explicacion al paciente de su patología asi como los cambios que debe realizar en su calzado ya sea deportivo o de trabajo. Asi como el uso de la ortesis apropiada y los ejercicios que recomendados en la terapia fisica. Cuando el dolor no se controla con el manejo ortopedico y la deformidad se incrementa hay que pensar en tomar la opcion del tratamiento quirúrgico.
